Privacy Policy

1. What we collect

We collect the following categories of data:

  • Account data — your name, email address, and a hashed password.
  • Site data — pages, links, titles, meta tags, and accessibility findings gathered when MarketMan crawls a site you've added.
  • Visitor analytics — pageviews, referrers, and approximate location, collected by the tracking snippet you install on your own site. This describes your site's visitors, not you.
  • Facebook integration data — your Meta Developer App credentials, connected Page ID and name, and content you compose or schedule, stored so MarketMan can post on your behalf.

2. How we use it

Collected data is used to:

  • Run crawls, accessibility scans, and performance checks you request.
  • Weight and rank findings by how much real traffic the affected pages receive.
  • Publish or schedule posts to a Facebook Page you've connected.
  • Maintain your account and respond to support requests.

We do not sell your data or your site visitors' data to third parties.

3. Tracking pixel & cookies

The analytics snippet you install on your own site sends a pageview event (page path, referrer, and coarse device/location data derived from the request) to MarketMan. It does not set third-party cookies. Requests are rate-limited and batched before being written to storage.

4. Data retention

Crawl history, analytics events, and social post records are retained for as long as your account is active so the Service can show trends over time. Deleting a site or your account removes the associated data within a reasonable period.

5. Third-party sharing

Facebook Page credentials and post content you provide are sent to Meta's Graph API solely to publish the posts you author. We use infrastructure providers (hosting, database, and caching) to operate the Service; they process data only on our behalf and under contractual confidentiality obligations.

6. Security

Passwords are hashed, not stored in plain text. Access to stored credentials and site data is limited to what the Service needs to operate. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your rights

You can access, correct, or delete your account data at any time from your dashboard, or by contacting us. Disconnecting your Facebook Page revokes MarketMan's access and removes the stored credentials.

8. Children's privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect account data from them.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page.
